When was your last gynecological consultation?

Regular check-ups save lives, helping to prevent gynecological diseases of all kinds. In addition, during the consultation you will be able to get advice on family planning, sexuality, menopause and adolescence, as well as answer any questions about another genital or breast problem.

Gynecological Consultation

Recommended to be performed 1 time a year or when there are irregularities in the menstrual cycle.

The gynecological consultation aims to improve your state of health, prevent or carry out the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases, as well as make the timely diagnosis of possible gynecological cancer.

During the consultation, the patient will also be able to advise on family planning, sexuality, menopause and adolescence, as well as remove any doubts about other genital or breast problems.

Gynecologic Ultrasound

Gynecological ultrasound or also known as ultrasound is an ally of great importance in the visualization of the pelvic organs and their pathologies; It is the best way to detect "asymptomatic" female diseases (those that do not cause symptoms) or diseases that are difficult to diagnose.

PAP – Monolayer

This modern diagnostic technique is essential for the accurate and reliable recognition of cervical cancer and any type of precursor lesion of a tumour.

It has a 30% greater capacity for incipient pre-cancer than traditional PAP, and a 70% greater capacity to recognize advanced pre-cancer.  In addition, it is essential for the recognition of HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)

HPV genetic testing can be used in combination with a Pap test to screen for cervical cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends this combination for women 30 years of age and older.

HPV DNA testing is not recommended for detecting cervical cancer in women under the age of 30. This is because women ages 20 to 29 who are sexually active have a high chance (compared to older women) of getting HPV infections that will go away on their own. For these younger women, the results of this test are not as important and can cause more confusion.

Family planning

Family planning can be achieved through a variety of methods. Which one is best for you? A professional will attend to your queries and will be able to suggest which method is right for your body, also taking into account the time you want to plan.

Implanon, a contraceptive that is implanted into a woman's skin; Mirena, an intra-uterine device or Jayess, birth control pills, are some of the most recognized options. Your age, medical history and needs will be taken into account when choosing the best option.

Pre-Conception Control

Pre-Conception care is the care you will receive before you become pregnant. We can help you determine what steps you should be considering.  For example, finding and fixing any problems that could affect you and your baby later such as diabetes or high blood pressure, increasing the amount of folic acid to prevent neural tube defects, apply all the necessary vaccinations, lead good lifestyle habits such as quitting smoking, drinking or alcohol or drug use, and even trying to reach a healthy weight. Once you are pregnant, you will be provided with prenatal care.

Recommended for patients who have abnormal Pap smear or Cervical Cytology results.

A colposcopy is a special way to examine the cervix. Light and a low-powered microscope are used to make the cervix appear much larger. This helps your healthcare provider find abnormal areas of the cervix and then take biopsies.

Laser Cervical Ablation

It involves the removal of some of the outer layers of the cervix. Typically, cervical laser ablation is performed when there is evidence or suspicion of cervical cancer.

If a Pap test detects abnormal cells on the surface of the cervix, cervical ablation can help determine if these abnormalities indicate cancer. If the cells are pre-cancerous or are at an early stage of cancer, cervical laser ablation may also serve as a conservative treatment option for a hysterectomy.

It is a procedure where its acronym stands for "Electro-surgical Loop Excision Procedure", that is, it is a minor operation by which a small fragment of abnormal tissue is removed from the cervix to be examined by means of a biopsy.

The procedure is performed under mild general anesthesia or local anesthesia. In the case of local anesthesia, the anesthetic is injected into the cervix. And the word "Loop" comes from the fact that an instrument similar to a wire loop is used to remove the abnormal tissue fragment from the cervix.

Endometrial Biopsy

It is a procedure for the removal of a sample of tissue from the endometrium for evaluation. A biopsy may be done to check for cancer or pre-cancerous cells, to determine the cause of irregular bleeding, or to investigate fertility problems.
